Does Anyone Have Subclinical Seizures? Meaning They Only Show Up On An EEG? I’m Curious If You Feel Those Too..

Kiddo has several “sub clinical” seizures an hour. We’re getting ready to see the seizure specialist team at Childrens but I’m trying to get a better understanding of her journey. Her other seizures are absence and tonic clonic and most recently new facial tic type seizure.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Subclinical is basically seizures activity that goes on in the background that you don't know about. In other words, you will feel completely fine even when it happens. This is only picked up on eeg or probably a rns. It's not really like a aura or Focal aware seizure where they do happen and can be very easily missed, it's always better to use something like a eeg or the rns to pick them up.

In my younger years, I had Subclinical seizures. I’m not sure of today.

During my auras I gets strange taste. It is really hard to describe. Like I said I am aware during an aura but doctors do see seizure activity in my brain waves.

I don't feel the spike and waves, either.

She can’t tell me how she feels. We have to guess based on her behavior and appearance etc.. which is why I was asking how everyone feels these spikes.
