I Have Seizures For Approximately 38 Years, Though I Had Only Five During The 38 Years, They Are Controlled By Medication.

Eye flickering since seizures started and recently learned that the flickering could be seizures as well. During the seconds that I experience this issue I’m no in control. What is the name for this type of seizure?

Your type of seizure isn't named only by where it begins... but the intensity and length of it as well.
It sounds as though your seizures started in your occipital lobe.
Did you see colour(lights) on the left or right side of your vision first? Our brains are wired opposite. The left side of the brain controls the right side of your body (same on for the right).
If you saw lights on your left line of sight first, that probably means your seizure started in your right occipital lobe.
Just because it starts there... it could be big or small... or both by the time it's done!
My main seizures used to be from my right occipital lobe. I'd have tonic clonic... complex partial... simple partial... and more from the one spot(not all at once though).
It'll be up to you and your family/friends to get a good "description" of what your seizures look like for your doctor to give you a diagnosis. If you can't do that verbally, maybe take a video for your doctor so they can tell you exactly what you're dealing with.
Good luck! Hope this helps.

My eyes twitch and flicker a lot. That’s a side effect from my medication.

Freddy2, I had the eye flickering/ twitching even before the “well known” seizures appeared as auras or temporal lobe events. Those were seizure related. But I have had similar symptoms since I began treatment, sometimes related to medication side effects. But most commonly in the past, it’s been part of the ‘lead-up’ (sometimes with dizziness) to an aura or partially-aware temporal lobe seizure. I hope that helps!

An absence one started but was stopped by meds so nothing to worry about. Ease mind instead by knowing this for future ones too.

It depends on your original diagnosis. If you have a issue relating to the Occipital lobe then there is a high change the eye flicker could be a seizure but if the issue is somewhere else, it is more likely side effect related or it could even be a pre- pre seizure thing. (symptom of an aura)
