Has Anyone Had 7T MRI?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Monterey, CA

My doctor is considering having me do an 7T MRI (7 Tesla). I already did a 3T but she is considering doing a 7T for more detail. Does it feel physically different from a 1.5T or 3T? Feel more effects from it? Thanks!

I don't think it would feel any different, it would just give them a better image then what they get with a 3T.

Immediately following surgery was the VERY best I’ve felt in the past 30 years. But after testing, the doctor said that I still had epilepsy and must return to taking medication. I was THEN once again hit by the side effects which simply never will go away.

I have a MRI coming up. Then MRI in December which catches seizure focus. Cool ! When I worked 20 years ago the patients brain would be 1/2 anesthesia on left then right. Cool easier on patients! I have a birth defect. My focus has slightly changed do to previous surgeries! Love the upgrades for patients☺️

A T7 MRI will provide greater detail and also may take less time to complete. I hope you get better care as a result Kevin. 💜
