Talking On The Phone While Doing A At Hone Eeg?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know this is a random question but I have to do a at home eeg next week and at the same time the Aus epilepsy project wants to interview me via phone to participate. Anyway I'm pretty sure I can't be on the phone while doing the eeg but..... just to confirm? lol

EDIT
Just a update with this I went and got hooked up the other day as everyone probably knows by now. I wore my Fitbit to the hook up and was expecting to be told I would have to take it off but as it turns out nope. Not with a… read more

Just read a bit on this problem and it seems as though this can effect an EEG. Maybe contact AUS epilesy and let them know. Maybe they can arrange for an earlier or later interview.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member From everything I've heard about the in-hospital EEG-EKG in most cases the set it up so you can go to the bathroom but whether its a guarantee is hard to say. It all depends on how close the bathroom is plus the way the cables are set up. They do use longer cables to try to give the best chance of you being able to move around a little bit.

Can you get someone else to place the call to the foundation. No way would I cancelled the EEG they can take so long just to get a booking. Anyway good luck and have a great Easter 🐣

do you have a speaker phone? or can you get a tablet with wifi? use that to get the interview. from experence (eeg lasting a long time)... i use my laptop, gameboy/switch, and other electric devices when i have a eeg test. everything has radio waves... the problem is the distence. when you get really close to the eeg or touching the eeg... then you get interference. more than a foot away (in usa mesurements) is what i use. a belly away.
my advice... if you a laptop/pc, asked for a zoom or a skype audio call. if you have to get a cell phone, use the speaker button and hope that you can hear/speak.

ا have no experience with that but EEG and cell phones waves can interfere, and cause the EEG result doubtful.
