Look thru history at geniuses & other with seizures but no idea why. Not till 1920s was nuff known bout brain to explaiin a physical not mental condition. Great meds finally to help like say insulin for diabetes now. Years ago people tried all types of herbs ,opiates mushrooms. Alice in Wonderland Carroll felt that his seizures inspired, classic in weird, like Earthworm went all over tried all kinds. Poor guy died an alcoholic his final choice to help. Now we know how to help brain with meds to get rid of nasty seizures. If diagnosed w/diabetes wouldn't worry bout insulin or sides. Please don't deny self real medical treatment or go backwards trying to treat self-be glad we know better now.

There are alternatives. You have talk to the Dr. About them and whether or not you’re a candidate for them. Alternatives like,
1 . Brain Surgery
2. RNS ( Responsive Neorostimulator )
3. VNS ( Vagus Nerve Stimulation )
4. DBS ( Deep Brain Stimulator
5. CBD oil / medical marijuana
Your Dr. Would want to try to work with your medication first

There are a few things that can help, but with side effects, eating a healthy diet, develop a solid routine, get enough of sleep and drink plenty of water all this plus the meds will give you the best chance of stopping them but it really is still a case by case thing.

I do take my meds for my condition, but I do my daily routine of prayer and bible study, I am a Catholic christian mix and I am not perfect and do sin, but that is my first above all that I go by, I don't know about your religion and such but that is my suggestion but your call, I stand firm in my life with.

I have tried a few things. The depth electrodes test, that proved seizures were coming from both sides of my brain 🧠. So I can’t have any more brain surgery. I have had the Vagus Nerve Stimulator for a while, the battery 🔋 was just replaced. That did help. I still take medication, some people try the ketogenic diet for help. I avoid food that are triggers for seizures, ex. Coke or Pepsi they both have caffeine in them. I don’t drink alcohol, maybe at formal occasions, get enough sleep 💤. Check out what the triggers are to avoid them. Best of luck to everyone. Peanuts 🥜
