@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member use of an EEG in assessing epilepsy is KEY to developing the best strategies to fighting your seizures. Why? Different drugs (e.g. broad spectrum vs narrow spectrum drugs) are used to fight our E enemy. Location, location, location are 3 important analytical tools used to ID which drugs might be the best to use. However, this is a step by step approach. This has been my experience.

Has it actually help the doctor understand your brain or was it just a waste of time?!

So if your doctor has you schedule one at the hospital, then it is not a quick scan like an MRI, right? Plan on extended stay would be typical?

It’s fine. The sleep deprivation isn’t fun but the binge watching movies is.
