I had no epilepsy auras or seizures during pregnancy , breastfeeding and or being on the contraceptive Depo Provera. I don’t know how much longer I can handle this

As a child I was experiencing blank stare seizures during puberty. When finally being diagnosed in my early 20s my body became more fertile and my seizures changed to grandmals. All the changes within my hormones have also changed my seizures throughout time. My neurologist was unable to control with any aed’s available. In addition, I was also experiencing excessive sweating, which worried me about possibly being in perimenopause or beginning! Luckily the doctors confirmed that I wasn’t so I said screw the medication when it comes to the anti-anxiety, because honestly it made it worse! My anxiety has definitely decreased, and now I can just stick to monitoring my seizures based on my cycle, which in turn also reflects the lunar calendar! Something, my doctor and I found out during my entire treatment. Now I pretty much been using more natural medicine in terms of making sure that I am less anxious or worried during my two phases .

I'm in the process of seeing if my neurologist will approve of me getting my uterus removed to stop hormone fluctuations as I'm in peri menopause. Was never diagnosed with catamenial epilepsy as a child, but also never realized that the week of seizures i had each month corresponded with my menstrual cycle. Found out when i was 23 after I went to a university research hospital.

For me it didn't. I'm beginning the Keto diet and I'll see if that helps. You may want to look at it if you haven't.
