That drug is a generic. You may wish to ask your doctor if the Name Brand drug would stop the condition. I know $$ are an issue for all of us. By best.

I am taking Lamotragine, and have been for quite a while. I have not had a rash or issue. My Rosacea is a different skin condition I am treating topically.

Hi Kelly - yes I have. Really ITCHY!

I'm in London and asked the doc if i could switch drug. Doc has referred me to neurologuist but no reply yet. (annoying)

As with some of your other repliers here, doc persisted in asking me if I was sure that the lamotrigine and rash were connected - Yes I AM !

Sorry Kelly but I just saw your question a few minutes ago. I was on Lamotrigine (generic)/Lamictal (branded) for many, many years and, luckily, never had this reaction. Are you sure it is a reaction to this drug itself and not co-incidental to something else? It looks SO sore and awful to try to live with. I've also just read your most recent post and it seems you have got rid of the rash by stopping the drug but it is a shame if it was helping your epilepsy symptoms. It might be worth asking your doctor about the branded Lamictal - I understand the cost factor over on your side of the Atlantic (I live in Scotland where I am very fortunate and do not have to pay for my prescriptions) but possibly there is some way round it. Good luck.
