I Was Curious About Returning Back To Work .I'm A Caregiver And I Have To Drive .has Anyone Gone Through This Before?
I have not been in your situation but being a Caregiver is hard ,
I don't recommend to drive.
I don't know what experience you have but use discretion.
I never drove and did do multiple volunteer jobs at HUP, a drug and alcohol rehab, and a nursing home. I always just used public transportation to get there. If you don't have access to public transportation and it's a paying job would it be worth using an Uber. Does any one who works same shift you do live not to far from you? If so can you offer them some money to get a ride? Ĥope you can find a way!
If You Have Seizures, You Should Not Drive. When I Use To Drive, I Got Into An Accident That Wasn't My Fault & I Didn't Have A Seizure. My Passenger Said I Was Driving Normal, Like Always. When I Returned Home, I Decided To Stop Driving Because I Could Have Got Blamed For The Accident If They Knew I Have Epileptic Seizures, For An Excuse. Just Think Hard About Making That Type Of Decision.
I used to drive even after my diagnosis, I let people who I worked with on my condition, I don't know if I left all in on, I'm not sure, but about 15 or so yrs ago I did get into 2 accidents and no one was hurt, after I gotten approved for my disability in court I gave up my driver's license and am glad I did, I don't want to be responsible for the injury or anything else for me or someone else that I could have prevented, I don't want a person's life I was at fault for, nobody in my medical field, doctors, etc asked me about how I managed to get around and ask me how, but I'm glad i don't drive and don't miss not driving, a little bit but I'm talking barely now, very very barely.if I need a ride I'll ask for one, other than that I'll take a bus public transportation or figure out a way to get there, my opinion here.
