I had never heard that there were problems with hair dye. I am now forty. I have now had my brain surgery and am seizure-free, but there were never seizures that happened when I was using the hair dye.

epends on the type of dye, cheap or expenive, and epilepsy (e). there is 40+ causes of e and even more sub causes of e. i have food e (auto immune e). i do not dye my hair but some dyes will cause me to seize (ingredients).
the 4 main ingredients are... Ammonia, Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Pigments.
Ammonia will opening the hair cuticle. it may cause permanent damage if taken to much.
Alcohol is one of the top 5 common e causes.
Hydrogen Peroxide is toxic... but thay diluted it multiple times.
and Pigments is ifferent types of color... and can be toxic (depending on natral and/or synthetic).
if you don't have those 4 main e triggers... then you are fine. i am probably be fine if i use certian brands. just read the ingredents, ask the hair experts (be it beautishion, barber, dr), and do a do your research.

I have getting my hair done now since I was a teenager. In my 50s now. Either getting it set or something else done to it. Haven't thought about the alcohol or hydrogen peroxide in the dyes or the hair treatment.

I believe it depends on what may cause seizures, as it is with foods, flashing lights, weather, and more. I know some chemicals that do cause some people seizures don't on others. I suggest find what chemicals are in that dye and ask neurologist . I guess he may know if it would it cause any problem.
