An RNS, or Neurostimulator, is a device surgically implanted in my head. It helps reduce seizures as well as record them so I can send my doctors seizure activity everyday from home.

I have an RNS and I go see my neurologist every 3 or 4 months. However the RNS squad has to be there too to make adjustments on the RNS and to go over your seizures. I see them probably twice a year. When the RNS squad is there, along with my neurologist, they check out my seizures and make whatever adjustments. So it’s basically a neurologist appointment but every other time the whole RNS squad is there to make adjustments and look over your seizures.
