We All Have Dif Side Effects Of The Meds We Take, Are You Ok With That, Or Do You Prefer A Dif Med If You Could?
I have a couple of small side effects of my meds, but I don't have a prob with them actually, the meds I take of depakote and levetiracetam the generic for keppra and divaprolex, They I have had both of, and my previous ones of Dilantin and phenobarbital also I was on had a few but didn't have much of a effect on me, I don't know if I would still be on had not my doc in 1994 changed them, but do you think your medication is ok in your opinion with your condition and such etc, or have you had it… read more

Normally all the AED meds have long lists of side effects and they are all pretty similar. So You could change if you want but in some way you will always get side effects.
As the neurologist would say, "Have you had a seizure lately"? If you haven't, the meds are fine.
After been tested on 10 different AED’s 1/2 of which I’m allergic to and the other 49% Major side effects. The one I’m on now has been working for over 2 years.
Good point we can pick & choose from so many AEDs.Seizures finally explained not till 1920s-Epilepsy. First meds to help bout.late 1940s. We've come so far since all should be happy we have meds.
