Anyone Have Their Hand Jump When Writing?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Minneapolis, MN

I am right handed and when I am writing notes, my hand keeps jumping / twitching. So I have to try to type as much as I can. Anyone else experience that? If so, what is causing that?

I find that don't write as well as I used to. My hand will also double or triple type letters when I am texting.

It is possible it is side effects from your medication. Some seizure medications have tremors as a side effect and your hands or other parts of your body may uncontrollably shaking. I have had it with a few medications.

This may be a Myclonic seizure. Talk with your neurologist about this symptom. Myclonic seizures are only a couple of seconds long.
