@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’m just glad now people don’t see epilepsy as someone being possessed 😂

Alice in Wonderland now a classic in weird. Carroll felt inspired by by his seizures to write. A window onto another world gone mad. Like his earthworm, he tried all kinds of herbs, mushrooms, opiates, etc to help. His final choice was alcohol so poor guy died an alcoholic. When I was in college tried what was called window-pane acid had some hallucinations but told friends nothing was as severe as what was felt during a seizure. All were amazed. Just a couple times was nuff for me. Glad we know better now with meds to help for seizure control for sure.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member again do your research. Many aeds can have effects on pregnancies. I have a family friend who recently lost their baby due to complications with her medications. If pregnant or wanting to get pregnant it is extremely important to find the best medicine and help throughout the process.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I think the one person that has helped me so much is Lewis Carroll. For as long as I can remember I just loved Alice in wonderland and felt a strong connection towards him and the movie. It wasn’t until after I was diagnosed that I found out he had epilepsy as well and I just felt that as a sign. I have my tattoo of the mad hatter and it helps me to remember that amazing people in time have gone through the same thing(but never had the science of it that we do now)

Socrates felt his own seizures were a visit or gift from above! Why he could philosophize like no other. Research has shown areas of the brain not regularly used get stimulated during seizures. Why some geniuses had unique thoughts like Einstein who just shugged his off "Why worry bout things beyond our grasp" since okay after.
