Honestly, it depends on the severity of the episode. I almost never have them anymore thankfully, but apparently the last one I had took 48 hours according to everyone when I woke up in the hospital.

I am in and out of it for about 30-45mins post-seizure. Then I have to take a nap for the rest of the day. Usually also have a terrible headache and muscle soreness for up to 24-48hrs. And a sore tongue where I have bitten it.

Hi Ken, It typically takes me a week. This last one was a big one may take longer. I'm learning to be patient.
I keep a diary so I can discuss with my neurologist.

depends on the person. i have a second to minutes to recover... but i used to have multable seizures a day.

Like you Raymond, mine are nocturnal grand mal so I don’t remember. My daughter, who already struggles with anxiety, is the only witness and bless her, I sure hate that. My muscles don’t hurt too badly - I’m just goofy for several days.
