A ? I'm Curious About, Below
Say you are on two meds and then ran out or was till depleted if one of them and found out you were ok with the one med left ,what would you do if that happened, and were ok with the med that works?
I would never run out of anticonvulsants ,I get them delivered monthly, so I check I have what I need else I would contact the pharmacy.
I don’t like to miss a dose. There is always a problem getting my meds filled. I’m on 2 that are controlled substances. So I’m very careful bcse if I’m not exactly right on the date it has to be refilled I have to go through hoops to get it done. It’s crazy bcse I don’t know anyone who would want to take anti convulsants if they didn’t have to. But apparently some people take them for some reason and that makes it hard for people who actually need it.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member They say that whatever the timeline is for the meds they will normally last doble that time. Then to add to that it takes 4-5 days for the med to get completely out of the system.
Not long ago I went 4 or 5 days w/o 1 of my meds, talk about frustration on not being able to receive it. I had to change drugstore due to Walker's not carrying it anymore. Drugstore they had changed me to where I could get, wouldn't deliver. Good friend of mine came to get my ID and went to pick up. Agrivation made me change to another place where it will be delivered.
None of us deserve to deal w/ this mess, so hoping every1 here gets when needed.
My medication is delivered every 4 weeks in dosset boxes, with medication information of the day and time to take, so they don't get mixed up.
