I’ve always been wound up since a little kid. I find it hard to even practice breathing techniques.any tips? My doctor knows I’m like this.

Relaxing music or sounds like the Calm app is a great way to start your journey to learn new techniques for meditation and other ways to relax. In that calm app the voice that’s used talks to you to try and help you relax. It’s free of charge on some things for trial.

Find some relaxing music on Youtube and listen to that. When growing up I collected records so I have been listening to music in the background daily. It helps.

For some, crocheting or reading helps. When I am really frustrated by something, I used to want to eat junk food; now, I want to go for a walk or run. Depending on how frustrated I am, I want to run, and sometimes, I have been known to run even in the significant heat to release my anger. This helped me. This has really helped me. I have lost over a hundred pounds doing this, and I am not done. The calming has helped me relax and focus on the real issues and get rid of what are not the problems in life.

Walking has always been the solution for me...just a slow walk for about 30 minutes.
