When they revoked my driver's licence back in 2024, 44 years after getting my licence, it felt tough for the first few months. After getting rid of the car and using Toronto Transit the loss of using a car did not bother us, unless we had to leave the city to visit relatives and my wife had to rent a car and drive it. Now I can fall asleep in the car while traveling, like she did when I was the driver.

YES! To me it's a big deal. Both wife and I are retired, but she has to take me everywhere. We live out in the country and there's no public transportation, etc...

I don't miss driving around here, even if could get my license back i wouldn't. Drivers (most anyway, not all) around here are crazy, it would scare me because of that I wouldn't want too.

Before my brain surgery I spent almost 15 years not driving. That was okay, I spent a lot of time at home because I live in rural Pennsylvania. My church family would come and get me for Ladies' Bible Study and always brought me home after church. My family has not been to church in more then a decade and has no interest. Where I live is so far from my appointments that no groups would take me. I had to schedule months in advance so my mother could request off. I finally had surgery in 2014 and I am now ten years seizure-free. I have been driving for seven of those years. I love it and I am now helping others get to places. I even had a job of transportation for awhile.
