Where Do Most People Get There Meds From?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just have them delivered from the hospital pharmacy since they offered free mailing since I don't have a drivers license. I am watching some couponing videos from Walgreens and CVS. It made me wonder, are the meds available from Walgreens or CVS and if yes, is the monthly cost the same and is it going to your account where you are earning points to purchase other items in the store for free? Is that a thing.....

Just yesterday I heard it announced on the news: Express Scripts is one of six giant pharmaceutical distributors being sued by the government and policyholders, for allegedly price-setting, and limiting the kinds of drugs they make available for use and cover (i.e. the newest and most effective versions might not be available because they’re more expensive). Yes you might be able to get the 3 months, but I believe that they’re putting the retail pharmacies out of business! I try to support a local business, but go ask at CVS if mine says they can’t get something.

Most pharmacies charge a fee to deliver plus as I said before they can’t deliver any “control” medications

My local CVS is great when no refills left speak to a pharmacist then get a few days worth to cover me. Right on bus line so no prob getting mine.

I have to get my meds from CVS due to insurance. They sometimes run out of my phenobarbital and have to order it. That is when it gets really annoying because they will only let me have one day’s dose at a time. Even though they have pills in the pharmacy, they won’t let me get a partial refill.
