Loss Of Appetite

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Tucker, GA

Am having loss of appetite and see my pp today. Do not know if this could be caused from vimpat. Neuro is taking me off of vimpat and waiting to see if that could be the problem, if so, she is going to put me on Keppra! Anyone have problems with Keppra?.

I had a terrible time with Keppra. I had issues with continued infections and thrush. I eventually went toxic on it and developed pneumonia. It's important to remember that not everyone responds to medicines the same way. I've read people's comments about having issues with Lamictal. I've been taking it for over 20 years.

Vickie Kelley, yes - I was on Keppra for 1 1/2 years when it turned on me and gave me seizures. I m now on Tegretol CR and Frisium They are good!
Apparently some people can tolerate Keppra..

Yes, I had problems with Keppra for 1 1/2 years. Got off it last year and have not had any seizures since.

Although I did develop a sweet tooth. I blame the kids. 😅
Fortunately for unknown reasons my metabolism can burn sugar very easily.
