You may want to find information on Section 8 or Low income housing in your state. If you have any friends or relatives/family members , that can making renting easier , paying for housing too.

Yes, there are group homes specifically for adults with epilepsy. These homes provide 24/7 care and supervision in a supportive environment. Staff are trained to assist residents with daily living activities, medication management, and handling seizures. Some things to consider when looking for an epilepsy group home are the staff-to-resident ratio, the training and experience of the staff, whether they can accommodate special diets if needed, and what amenities or programming they offer residents.

My friend is afraid to be alone because of her epilepsy. I think her family is burned out. I just don't get the impression they want to continue to help take care of her. I wondered about buying a house or a condo and wondered about having others with epilepsy be roommates, but I just don't know if it's a good idea.

I also wondered if I could get government assistance to help with the rent since SSDI does not pay enough for her to cover what an apt and living expenses would require.
