So ,my Friends Mum Who Saw Me Having 6/7 Repeat Absences Saturday Evening , Saw Her Today And She Asked If She Should Ever Call A Ambulance?
I always thought if it was big ones you call not absences , she said was in and out talking complete nonsense for about 5+ minutes
If you seizures continue going through nonstops for 4 minutes and you’re still not out , then yes , Call For emergency . By 4+ minutes, the brain starts losing Oxygen., causing more brain damage.
Now if you’re going into one seizure and coming out for a bit then going back into another one. Than you’re having cluster seizures. That isn’t so bad. And shouldn’t need to call for ambulance.
Having liquid Lorazepam ( Ativan ) on hand can help slowing down to stopping your seizures. If you don’t have any , you may want to talk to your Dr. about having seizures recovery meds on hand.
ok, i am not concern with absences seizures as much as i am concern with the recovery time (or lack there of). as for mom, the past is in the past. when this happens agian, do not call... just keep an eye on you. if it is a bad seizure... then call your dr.
I would update your doctor asap.
In UK as dont pay for medical , but my next hospital appoitment is November with VNS nurse ill speak to her about them. Not a concern to me at the moment , was just curious on peoples opinions
Thanks Everyone 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Definitely call the doctor. Call an ambulance if you are hurt, would be my opinion.
I Used To Stare And My Face Would Go Blank. Was That An Aura, I Never Thought I Had Them.
