It’s good that you help as much as you can. I haven’t driven a car my whole life. It does get stressful when I’m stuck at home but if there’s somewhere I need to be my parents take me. I’m sorry to hear he’s been in a few wrecks. I’ve never had a wife or girlfriend. I’ve never even been allowed to work much being on disability all my life. I’ve had three different neurologists. One was for children, one retired and now I have my current neurologist. They’ve pretty much been equal. I hope everything gets better seizure wise and money wise.

I’m in my 40’s and have dealt with depression and epilepsy for years going back to when I was in elementary school. My parents give me rides everywhere and support me. My mom takes care of doctor appointments and phone work. That keeps some stress off my mind. Maybe that would be something to do, if you don’t already.

You may want to get advice from the Epilepsy Foundation or go straight to a Disability Law Firm. All the jobs your son had broke the law of ADA ( America Disability Act ) . -

I don’t know what your son does during the job interviews , but it’s probably a good idea to tell the manager/ boss / Employee , that he has Epilepsy. Maybe explain it a little. Then the Employer can take their time deciding, whether they are going him or not.

I understand the feeling of being fired from a job . The first time that happened to me , and applied my next job , I made sure to let the employer know of my condition. At least they are aware of the condition and can decide , if they can decide then and there whether or not they want to hire.

I too could never legally drive. When I worked , I lived in big cities. I could take advantage of the different city transportations and sometimes a family or friend. .
I don’t know where he lives. Whether it be a city/suburb or in the rural area .? I know how much harder it is in a rural area . That’s where I live today.

Today I don’t work and get my money thru the Social Security Administration. I do miss work but it is hard to get to a job, when there’s. No city transportations to get me around. I’m very independent person for the thing I can do. I cook for myself and family . I do have a Mt. Bike and enjoy getting around on it. I just can’t get to places that is many miles away. That includes, visiting my Epileptologist . 2 - 3 hrs away.

I think what may help him is group meetings at the Epilepsy Foundation also activities they do with adults, and possibly, see a psychologist. I recommend other people and events to help because after experiencing the same event and it's just 1 person there for support them the mind gets used to it and still does help but it looses its strength of effect to help. Such as a medication does for helping of it. I WISH YOU BOTH THE BEST OF SUCCESS!

thanks for your reply. My son is married but has a lot of stress - his wife is very controlling and spends a lot of money which makes it hard to keep caught up on bills. I help as much as I can but it really bothers him because he can't drive. He use to drive but had several wrecks due to seizures. I'm going to find him a different neurologist and see if that makes a difference.
