I did some research on the side effects of this medication and it mentioned about a side effect of turning lips, fingers and skin pale blue. But nothing about bruises.

May want to talk to the Dr. who prescribed it . He/she may be able to explain something different.

Some potential side effects of ethosuximide include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, and skin rashes. Easy bruising is not a commonly reported side effect of ethosuximide. However, skin markings or injuries could potentially occur during a seizure, especially if muscle tightening or loss of consciousness results in falls or uncontrolled movements.
