Things get tougher as we age. No doubt about it. I try to manage by keeping busy and not thinking too much about it. Epilepsy was a curve ball for me since I got this later in life but I’ll manage with the help of family and friends. I haven’t had to give up too much yet but I sense that my age will be a factor here.

Yes I do feel your age can be fact why your epilepsy can get worse, more likely in ladies with hormones changes.

I definitely think age plays a factor! I turned 60 this year and the depression and anxiety have increased greatly. I’ve dealt with these issues all my life but they have gotten out of hand this year. This is why I’m seeking an updated diagnosis and new treatment plan as I feel my Epilepsy has worsened. I try to start each day on a positive note and remain optimistic! We are all Warriors! 👍😃

Yes. So like when your mom, for example, tells you she understands some of your memory issues, she does. But we get “sucker punched” twice, by epilepsy and age. Ain’t we lucky!

It changes with my stress level.
& how you deal w/ the stress. So when younger you have different stressers & deal w/ them quite differently. When older I have many more stressers, but have learned to deal w/ them. Primarily letting God take the load.
An EMT reminded me about that in 2012 when coming out of what I was told, a 15 minute Grand-Mal as she asked me why I was stressing so, as I told her my seizures were stress induced & she replied; if I had faith that God almighty was always watching over me & He would protect me. That, when I was going through hell @ that time.

Go figure
