It can be very difficult when seizures lead to prolonged vomiting. Some things that may help are: having small, frequent meals instead of big meals; avoiding heavy or fried foods and mixing hot and cold foods; staying hydrated with clear liquids; and asking the doctor about anti-nausea medication that won't interfere with seizure meds. It's also important to monitor fluid/electrolyte levels if vomiting persists. Calling the neurologist to discuss options for managing this side effect is recommended. If seizure medications are vomited, it's best not to immediately take an extra dose as doubling up can cause dangerous side effects. Instead, call the doctor to see if and when it might be appropriate to retake that dose. Having emergency medication on hand can also help in case more seizures occur.

Has this been told to his doctor? Sometimes it is the medicine they are on. They may need to be checked.
