Has Anyone Gone Through The Stereo Eeg Operation? What Is It Like? What Is The Full Recovery Time? Thanks
Great info. Thanks. Have you been able to reduce your meds since pre rns?
My doc said I would be confined to bed for 7-10days. Since I have temporal lobe epilepsy, some of the leads will be near my temple/jaw and go through the upper jaw muscle. It can make eating an issue and some go on a soft diet until the leads are removed. He also mentioned at a recovery time of 2+ months to get back to my current physical condition. That all sounds pretty daunting. Your experience sure sounds different. Thanks for the feedback
That sucks. One of the goals I was hoping for is to reduce the drugs. The side effects suck
How is your rns working? That’s on my agenda after the stereo eeg

I have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy too. I didn’t have any wires in my jaw area. That must have come after I had my SEEG. I do remember one of my surgeries taking 8 weeks to recover. It was either the SEEG or the RNS or it could have been both. I hope you make it through the surgery and have a good recovery.
