Based on the information provided, since starting Keppra treatment a month ago and having no further seizures or side effects, the chances of remaining seizure free look promising. One study found that 63% of people who had a breakthrough seizure went on to have another one. However, successfully starting an anti-epileptic drug (AED) like Keppra often helps control seizures. Staying on your medication as prescribed and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can also improve your chances of avoiding future seizures. It's great you have made positive lifestyle changes like stopping drinking alcohol. If you were to have another nocturnal seizure, safety precautions like ensuring those close to you know how to respond can give some peace of mind.
