Waiting

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Are there days when there is so much stress, for which I have reasons, that you find yourself just waiting for a seizure? I usually use rescue medication and do relaxing breathing exercises. Right now I feel tighter than a banjo string and eating everything that is not nailed down.

I don't ever expect to have a seizure, I do all I can to take my mind off it by doing word games or watch TV, the more you think about it the worse you will feel, try and do something to help yourself feel better, Take care πŸ™

I don't really think on the seizures happening because I know it'll happen at any point at any given time it's just up to date or my time to decide when they pull that final cord to start one to end it all or just pull another to toy with me. So it's best to live each day like it's your last and try to enjoy what you have right now. For me the most things I value are life, music, and my friends.

I'm Loaded With Stress But Not Worried About A Seizure At All. Very Unsatisfied With The Way Of This World. My Music Helps The Most But I will Always Stay Strong & Keep My Head Up.

Stress is deffinately a main cause, that's why when in mid 30's wasn't going let things stress me out. Wanted to do what could that would help me not have as many, seizures of course. Can't say I never get stressed anymore, thankfully I don't as much as used too. It has helped for sure, I'm not seizure free but don't have as often or severe.

Stress is a common cause of seizures. You may want to see if your doctor could give you something for stress relief, especially if it’s causing you to have seizures.
