I have never used a officially certified dog. Only my own dogs. They always knew when something else was happening besides a grandmal. I did meet a woman who worked for the forestry service on a crew that trimmed trees on side of road. She had a service dogs that went to work with her and rode with the crew.

She was trying to get you somewhere safe. And wanted someone to call for help. Visiting my daughter's dog automatically knew to do.

I had a dog who was thankful she did not have to go to the animal shelter. My sister had threatened me a few times. I got her, and Minnie spent time thanking me. She outlived what the vets had expected. I had brain surgery and I am now ten years seizure-free. She waited a year post-surgery to be sure I was safe.
