Ye I have had my norm physician and have a doc that I think is my neurologist in my condition and such etc, but what is the epitologist and what are your thoughts about this ❓, I am ok with either as long as they know what they are doing, I haven't had any prob with my doc and the neurologist I've been treated for with, just curious is all, my opinion

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , you are right about the part about an Epileptologist is a Neurologist . But the Epileptologists goes the Extra distance, on finding more than one path to try. Today I Look at a Neurologist as a Generic version of an Epileptologist .

Epileptologists specialize in all things on Epilepsy. They can plan more than 1 path to try with the person who has Epilepsy.

The Neurologist, known that basics of Epilepsy. The farthest I’ve gone with a Neurologist, was a EGG . Other than that , the main treatment I ever got was medication. If a medication isn’t working the Dr. would try me on a different medication.
