2 Weeks After Brain Surgery - 4 Straight Weeks With No Meds. How’s That The Very, VERY Best I’ve Felt Since My First Pill Over 30 Years Ago?
The surgery was about 20 years ago. Again, I felt so fantastic immediately afterwards - shocked that I was still an epileptic who had to retake meds. I was taking 11 at the time, cutting down slowly. When I had cut down to 5 (3 years later), I was simply shocked, speaking about how I felt at that time. “Over the past 3 years, I was out of it,” I declared while staring at the wall. My buddy responded with a smile. She was an 80 year old gal with whom I’d been talking about the surgery since before deciding to go through with it. “Honey, you were out of it. But I knew you were coming back.”
But the side effects from the meds came back also, and it seems as though I’ll never be able to get rid of them. Far less seizures, that’s for sure. The side effects simply feel as though they kinda hit me harder. If I could do it all over, I still would have gone through with the surgery. I just would’ve restarted with the medicine after a few months - not a couple weeks.
YEAH!
Just keep yourself alert. Even though things are going great and how nice it feels, doesn’t mean that the seizures won’t come back.and may have to go back on meds.
I had my Surgery in 1998 . I was still on my meds , but my seizures went down for awhile . But when I was fully or near fully healed , my seizures starting coming back in full force .
That's wonderful news Sneak78. I pray this will be a permanent fix for you.
Hope you just saw the first four of many more weeks off meds. The further you go, the better it feels.
