I had my first seizure at 40 years old. It's been 5 years and my Dr has no idea what caused it.
I just learned that one of my aunts dealt with severe auras as a kid. She never had seizures.
My medication works well keeping the seizures at bay, but I don't like the side effects of most of them.

I started having them in late 2015 I'm 56 now

My seizures started around 60 due to a head injury

60 years old onset following Shingles.

I had my first seizure at 47 🤷‍♀️. I really don’t know why this happened but thankfully my medication is working now . Hopefully it continues
