I am like a normal person and sit on a bench or seat. The Disability bench close to the front is mainly reserved for mothers with children in a stroller, people who are in a wheel chair, elderly seniors, or if someone had an operation and uses a cane, or if someone suffers from a physical condition. If no one in that category sits there, then it is open to the public. I sat up there when I was recovering from a hip operation and had a cane - now I sit on a seat like regular people.
Dave on the MTA buses there are space for Senior /Handicapped people. It is clearly marked. The way I am I'll give somebody a LOOK if they don't belong in the seating or ask what you r handicap / Mine's Epilepsy and my knees. Most kids move out.
Dave I've worn a Medic Alert necklace for years. has the red medic symbol on the front and the word Epilepsy etched on the back. when on public trans just wear it over your clothes. Might help you.
You are welcome, anytime and so is everyone else here
