@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , In mid 2019 I was put on Keppra by a Neurological Nurse Practitioner that I saw for just a few months. The Keppra made me so extremely tired that I had to take a nap every day & eventually I started having trouble sleeping & so I got off it. I didn’t like the pill, mainly cause of how tired it made me. It’s likely that your son is sleeping more than usual now due to the Keppra. If y’all decide you’re not comfortable with the side effects of the Keppra, or any other medication, don’t ever hesitate to let the doctor know & maybe there might be another medication he could get on. Prayers things get better for him. Your friend in Texas, Becky

I agree with Randy - I was on a started on a small dose of Keppra and it turned me into cussing left and right. The longer I stayed on the drug with keeping it going into my system the worse my language became with attitude and rage toward anything. I contacted the neurologist then requested to be removed from the drug because of what it was doing to me as well as my family. As soon as I stopped taking the medication only took a short period of time for everything to go back to normal.

Do you have to totally quit seizure med to start a different one? wouldn't you have seizures between the time the new med kicked in? I am so deathly afraid of him having another seizure, I've watched four of them with the first one being a status which landed him in the hospital for a month. You guys talk about having seizures likes its not big deal and you seem to deal with them so well :( I am a mess and I'm not even the one having them!!!
