That’s what happened to me too. Before I had seizures I could remember everything and when I read a story I could tell my mom everything about it. However, like a snap of the finger, when I started having seizures I no longer could/can remember anything. I’ve heard epilepsy can kill our brain cells making memory worse and even shrink our hippocampus which is the part of the brain responsible for memory.

Memory issues are very common for people with epilepsy, especially with temporal lobe epilepsy where the seizures affect the hippocampus which is responsible for forming new memories. The fatigue and tiredness you feel from the Keppra could also contribute to memory problems and difficulty concentrating. If taking the prescribed Keppra dose makes you excessively tired, discuss options with your doctor, like adjusting the dose or trying an alternative medication. Never change or stop medication without medical supervision. Memory issues can significantly impact daily life for people with epilepsy. I agree with you and your post and the other people's posts here, I think it's dif per person and how their condition effects them, I can relate but in my own way of what you are saying, but I am not you, I'll be able to similar, but not the same, since we are all different than everyone else here that has their own condition (s) I also do my own research about the condition of epilepsy online and heard that it having a seizure one day can last a few days later, but that is a study they have put together and online, I have experienced some of those that they mentioned, but I think that is dif per person in my opinion, I am not a doc, but after 53 yrs of having them,I have a pretty good idea of what I am to expect and go through when I have a seizure, so they are more stable than before, I'd say, about 50/50 I thought it was more controlled than that but that is my opinion on my current condition I have, my doc is ok with the estimate amount of seizures I have when I go to see her, and I see her twice a year, I think that maybe they may find a cure down the road for the the conditions we have or a way to make the conditions we have in our lives better than before, either would be okay in my opinion, but I hang in there and try and stay pos and so can you, my opinion here, my best medicine for me though is my daily routine of prayer and bible study I believe in and do, I am not perfect and do sin, but I confess my sin daily and stand firm in my life with my religion and religious practices I have, I am a Catholic christian mix and believe in the bible and the God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the holy Spirit of Abraham and stand firm serving no matter what! My answer here.
