I can hear people around me but cannot respond and feel paralyzed during the episode, when I wake up I feel exhausted and sweaty.

I experience the usual dream like feeling, then a really unpleasant chemical smell. It’s very scary I’ve tried explaining to my neurologist and she can’t explain it. Does anyone else experience this? Are they seizures??

Every time I go to the E.R. they say my Potassium is low and give me a pill.
Anyone else?

I struggle with my mental health and my seizure activity doesn't show up on EEG. I have full tonic clonic seizures, I lose consciousness and seize for about 2 minutes typically. I dissociate first, You could ask me my name and I would not be able to answer. I'm on 4 meds of different strengths Has anyone noticed if your seizures ( of whatever type) have become more frequent when they've added in another medication It says this in one of the PILs in a couple f boxes as a possible side effect

have question about aura deja vu
I have focal epilepsy. I've never totally understood what deja vu feels like subjectively.

Anyone here ever drink energy drink while taking keppra ? Its not for being up later or for energy boost its because i like the taste of it (the original green monster) thanks.

I've been told many times and observed it that when a person has epilepsy their artistic abilities show through that they never knew they had. Painting photography, poetry playing instruments etc. I have seen their works in books. Anyone experience it

Since beginning this journey and identifying triggers, my main trigger has been heat. Now that we are fully into summer, I have been a bit of a mess. Does anyone have any good tips on dealing with heat sensitivity for seizures?

I have probably mentioned this before. Has anyone ever experienced Awake brain surgery and were the results positve. I have been referred to another hospital for assessment to have this procedure. Its where they do a craniotomy and apply electrodes on the brain to map where seizures are coming from. you are asleep for all that part then woken up so they are able to do the diagnostics Asking question etc. The do what they have to do Then knock you out and put the flap back in and sew you up.
