Does Anyone Have Info About Simple Partial Seizures ?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Las Vegas, NV

I need more information about this condition. I've had migraines. (Some with strange auras) since I was 12. And anxiety/panic my entire adult life. But these seizures are weird...It's like being trapped in a dream...just for about 30 seconds but it will happen when I'm on the phone at work...and I'll hear..."Hello....Hello are you still there?" And I snap back in and I think fast and say..."Oh wow I'm so sorry... and make up a reason why I was ignoring them for half a minute. Which is long on… read more

Chronic Fatigue And Confusion

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Aylesbury, UK

Since I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2016 I am more chronically fatigued where all I want to do is sleep. The slightest tasks wear me out and I've been recently dizzy and have memory loss. Is this normal? The fatigue is the more worrying point for me. I have left tempol lobe epilepsy and am currently taking 200mg of lamotrogine. Please advice.

What puts people in a bad mood that leads to seizures?

My Gfriend has the epilepsy and when I frustrate her or don't make sense, that's a big stress trigger for her so I try my best to keep things nice and easy.

Do You Sometimes Not Comprehend Simple Questions?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Buford, GA

I sometimes have to ask if the person could repeat their question again, sometimes twice before it finally registers. Feels like the person is looking at me like “hello, anybody home?” I just say I’m sorry and smile. 😄

Have You Considered Eliminating CITRUS From Your Diet?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Buford, GA

I discovered this interaction by charting my diet. After 8 months totally seizure free, I had been eating about 3 lil oranges a day for 3 days and BAMMM down I went. This was the only thing I did different in that 8 months of charting. Coincidence, maybe? Haven’t touched citrus since and have had no additional problems.

Here’s a reference and how it could effect your medication(s):

Keep in mind that just because your medication isnt on the… read more

How Long On Average To Get Balanced Out On Medication

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has Anyone Had Any Problems With Their Seizures While Prepping For A Colonoscopy?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Willow Grove, PA

I was going to have a double procedure (Endoscopy/Colonoscopy) done in December of 2017, but luckily my Neurologist contacted me to say that it just wouldn't be a good idea due to my (@Tegretol) medication. In February of '17, I was hospitalized due to my @Tegretol level that was raised to the roof because of a stomach virus. So now, just for precautionary reasons, I'm just going in for an Endoscopy. Wish me luck!
