Does Anyone Ever Feel Similar?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone ever just feel like giving up? Seems like epilepsy had taken over my life. One minute I'm fine next minute I I wake up in floor or in hospital with a new cut or my teeth hurting and no memory. I'm just asking.

Living the life w/ epilepsy is a very hard lifestyle to live. Whether we like it or not. We at least have to tolerate iit . I've lived w/ epilepsy since I was 1 or 2 yrs of age . I've been on 85 % of the meds on the market, had brain surgery, and tried theVNS implant. Some have helped and some didn't do much to help. Just keep the hopes that there will be the right treatment to help us live an easier life.

I may of felt that way I my teenage years. But I have been dealing w/ my epilepsy for a near 40 yrs. now days I will and won't let epilepsy take control of me . I may have a few downer day where I may feel a little depressed , but I always come back fighting. Thinking about positive things and thoughts. I control my life not EPILEPSY. My spells aren't 100% controlled , but I keep fight to control my life. You get the point.
Hope you can do the same. Prayers to you man! Keep fighting Joshua

Me my self will fight it , and not let it win ... The way I see it , is like another challenge .... If you make a joke about it , and not let it win a depression problem . See it as a challenge to make a joke about it . That way you`d be able to win the battle .....

Never give up ! It took 23 years to get my seizures under control. I've been seizure free for 8 years now. I know what you feel like but never give up.
