Does Anyone's Medication Give Them A High Sex Drive???
I take Lamictal 650mg/day and Keppra 3,500mg/day. When I first started Keppra my sex drive increased. It's slowly been increasing. My boyfriend called me a nympho this morning and for the past year I've wondered if I'm an addict. Has anyone else found that their meds increase sex drive???
I take both keppra and lemictal and there are days I want it a lot and other days I can careless. There can be a smell the will drive you nuts. And then there's some smells that turns you off. I guess it all depends on the person.
That's not true. If it was then I would not have two kids. Some people just lose the drive for sex and others don't. There are men who think about sex ever 15 seconds. See your thinking about it now. Nuff said
Wow I've never associated it with medication but it makes sense that it could be!!! I was on lamotrigine and keppra at the same time and definitely acted differently sexually at uni! Still on lamotrigine so could still be that
I’m on the other side of the fence on this one. I’ve switched from Keppra to Lamictal due to the high anxiety Keppra was causing me (plus it didn’t seem to control my seizures). My doctor was even having me take Ativan for the last few months on Keppra. Since transitioning off of Keppra, OMG, while I’m still a normal woman who can go for days/weeks without sex sometimes, when I’m really into it, my inhibitions and insecurities seem like they’ve completely gone away and I’m REALLY into it. I mean, my husband and I have been married nearly 20 years and he’s amazed at my anxiety/paranoia change. I guess it’s a case by case basis, but for me, Lamictal seems like the better option.
I found Keppra increased it immensely. However, since that medication only increased my seizures and types, I was switched to Lamitrogine (Lamitical) and although the seizures have dropped to about once or twice a month, my sex drive has gone to pretty much nil, which is horrid seeing as i'm only 22.
