I have three different kinds of seizures & I have been driving for 26 years on & off when I have a seizure i have to wait 6 months before I can drive again, so far I haven't had any, there was only one time that my doctor told me not to drive cause I was having to many, and yes it all is on your state law

in my state you have to be completely seizure for a year before you can drive again, which sucks because we have no buses or anything and where i live there is no job that I can work close to home that does not use machinery which again i am not allowed to operate.

Depending where you live, the laws are different. The absence seizure are what I had. The correct term for them is temporal lobe seizures. Like any other type of seizures their are, this is hard, to live with. But you can. You just have to make some sacrifices, but if you are taking your meds right, you should be fine. You need to be straight with your doctor. If the meds are not working, let him know.
