I agree with what's been said, fear can be a symptom of a seizure. But we can also be feeling fear of having a seizure. If your having fear caused by a seizure than just try to talk to your neurologist and see if you can do anything with your medications to feel better. Unfortunately we have to be our own Ginny pigs and that can be hard. If your just afraid or traumatized because of epilepsy just give yourself permission to be afraid, it's ok. This thing can be very hard to cope with. Just know it is possible with a lot of hard work to feel better and know that your not alone and not the only person having to go through this kind of experience.

I get one even after I've had a seizure and since I started having seizures have only had a serious Grand Mal 3 times.

For me it is an issue of not having any control over myself or circumstance. I am afraid when Sherry has hers which are intractable seizures with a mix of tonic/clinic and multifocals. I only have minimal control of her seizures so when they get out of hand I just have EMS haul us to ER. @Rescue" meds do not help and we have to address source of increased activity or severity and length of seizures. The fear for me for her is not just no control but the not knowing.
A long way to saying the crux of the issue for me is firstly the unknown and then not having the reins in my hand to control what I do know.
Hugs and blessings...there is strength in crowds and I've met a lot of folk here to support each other and it's a great resource to have.
