Yes. @Aptiom over in the USA is "Zebinix" here in the UK. (Eslicarbazepine). I have now been on it for five years! But only in the last month, have I been put on the right dose! (1000mg) 800mg was too little, and 1200mg was too much! Only in the last three months did the 200mg tablet come out here, and just in the last four weeks did I start taking it. Now I feel much better. When taking 800mg, I was on too little, and 70% of my seizures were happening between 4 and 7PM. Two years ago, the doctor tried me on 1200mg PM and within three weeks, I had to reduce it back to 800mg. I was like a drunk and could hardly stand straight! My body was swaying! Then in Feb. I got told to try 400mg AM and 800mg PM, having been told that it had worked on another patient. Trusting the doctor, I did it, but suffered for six months! As a result being kicked out of 2 care agencies because of my anger issues, which were not seen as a side effect, but as my rudeness and impoliteness, and telling me to go on an anger management course! Now that I am on 1000mg per day, I am much better. Just still within 30 - 60 mins of taking it, I feel that boost in my body, as if the medication is kicking in! Just make sure you get put on the right dose for you!

I took 300 mg. Aptiom with Keppra , Zonegran & Depakote. I went to 800 mg. It was helpful. For 6 months. Keppra transferred to Briviact. Now off of Briviact. Aptiom is back to 300 mg..

I Take Aptiom. & It's Been A Blessing So Far Because The Anxiety, Depression, & The Mood Swings Are Not As Bad As They Were Before When I Was On Dilantin & Keppra.

Thanks Tonya I've actually been to that site and saw trileptal had more side effects than the aptiom . My Doctor told me that any side effects should go away. Trileptal a lot more active ingredients . My neurologist he's been handling my illness situation since I started to go there. Now he's the Section head of Adult Epilepsy and Neurology and the boss of all the other neurologists since. Getting him on a phone call is hard...a busy man. His asst. calls me right away after a message . What's funny is all of us from him to the surgeon are on first name basis now from everything I've been through there. He likes my link from epilepsy.com and the seizure diary I pull up in his office. Been doing that from there for years !
