@Annie16, Sean2, I was referred to the U of M from another Neurologist because I was told they had run out of Medicines to give me. I am glad I was. It is what led to finding what caused my seizures and having 3 brain surgeries leading to where I am now! Going on 7 years seizure free in a few months!

My medication has never been changed. The dosage per day has been increased which has helped me to have fewer seizures over the last few years. So I guess the medication is having some control over my epilepsy. I am so glad for that. I am able to do more for myself instead of being sick and not remembering things.

I was told I have taken so many Medicines, I literally have a "thick skull". I trust my doctor 100%. I take whatever Medicine(s) my neurologist prescribed me to take. I also check any and all Medicines my GP doctor prescribes me to make sure to make sure they don't interfere with the medicines my Neurologist prescribes!!

Funny story with this. I was offered the chance to change about 8 years ago with a choice of 5 different meds. At the time I didn't really want to but I really didn't want to go on Keppra if a change did happen. All these years later I end up on Keppra and Doing better then I was.
