If There Is One Thing You Want People To Understand About Epilepsy, What Would It Be?

There is so much that the general, unaffected public does not care about or understand regarding Epilepsy. What would be your top priority to educate them on?

I wish people would know that epilepsy is more than just "shaking and convulsing". That there are many types of seizures. Also that there is the constant fear/anxiety of when another seizures gonna come. That when I feel bad due to seizures and auras, I'm not just "using epilepsy as an excuse", like I've been told before by some.

When you see me in public you always pass me by.
Never do you take the time to say the two letters HI.
I may have an illness yes that may be. But the same God that made me. Also made thee.
I need love and recognition and affection to. The very same way all humans do.
So that makes me ask myself what kind of creature did God make you?
Epilepsy is an illness not a disease. That you can not catch by being around me.
I pray that the Lord God that made thee will teach you about love and Epilepsy.

Exactly...always remember we're not here for ourselves....we're here to follow God's plans and most of all we're here to work for the prize and that's being baptized in Jesus Christ name for the remission of our sins and God will fill everyone that takes charge of the prize with the gift of the Holy Ghost and live life to the best and believing that with Christ all things are possible but without Christ we can not do, receive or accomplish anything for he's God and he's God ALONE....God Bless

It doesn't make me different. Having Epilepsy makes me the unique individual that I am and it has allowed me to challenge the stereotype myths out there about people with Epilepsy. In fact having Epilepsy has made me stronger as an individual so I have absolute gratitude for the fact that I have this condition. Despite it being challenging at times. Every time I have had a seizure fallen over split my lip, had a black eye, wet myself. I have got back up again, never to be defeated by this condition.
