Speech Issues
Does anyone else have issues with their speech after being diagnosed? People have told me I speak quiet and they find it hard to understand me at times. I also stutter or am unable to speak at all when having a seizure or right after a seizure. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it is very hurtful when people mock me and poke fun at me for it.
After my seizure I could understand what people were saying but I couldn't talk. Very frustrating.
Ive been having speech problems since my grand mal seizure..im on medicine n i practice speaking slower..its been helping to my opinion..try slower..god bless
This happens to me nearly every day. I'll be in the middle of a convo with someone and all off a studden I'll stop talking and have no idea what they were talking about. I'll say the totally wrong thing or be thinking what I wanted to say and it just comes out almost backwards or not how I wanted to say it at all. Every day I'm like "why did it happen again" it's embarrassing when I'm not with people I know. It only started when I started my medication I still remember when I could have a normal convo with people without it happening.
I have the samething at times Let your Doctor know whats happening
I do the same thing. I laugh and say there's no such thing as a senior moment because I have plenty of them. Inside I don't feel that way it just makes me feel a little bit better. Give it a try.
