Is This Temper Tantrum Or Seizure
Hi all
I have not been on line for a long time its just been so hectic. My daughter just turned 3 a month ago. I need to know if any one with a toddler experienced. Temper tantrums , screaming, kicking rolling on the floor for at least 30min. I am not allowed to talk to her or even touch and comfort her at that time. If we even try to get close to her or talk to her she screams even louder. I cant say what triggers this as it happens at odd times even when she just gets up in the mornings and⦠read more
my 3 yr old niece is waking up in the middle of the night with screaming fits, screaming "help me", " I hurt" and her body goes rigid and starts trembling and shaking (like a seizure), she will bicycle her legs and will release a blood curdling screams (like being possessed).sometimes she is screaming for over 2 mins before she gets out words like: momma, doie, cuppie, help me, I'm cold and I hurt. Her eyes are opened but unfocused. Automatically I thought night terrors bc she was getting them only at night. But now it's happening during nap time and when she throws "temper tantrums" during the day. She could be sitting down watching t.v. and break into a "night terror" while she is awake. She starts out screaming for mommy during the day. Any little thing sets her off. I'd say her shaking almost reminds me of convulsions. We took her to childrens e.r. and they diagnosed her as having temper tantrums. So we will be going see another dr. I was wondering if you found an answer
Talk to your pediatrician and get her tested, only doctors can answer your question! It might not be an epileptic seizure...can be emotional or physical or both...can be all kinds of things...track her symptoms and talk to as many doctors, as it takes!! Be her advocate and fight for her, like no-one else will!! Make sure you are HEARD!!
Oh! my word I thought I was going mad. The sad thing is my daughter wont let anyone close to her at that time all I wanna do is cuddle her.
My daughter does this before bed like she has a melt down the only way to calm her down is to cuddle her and tell her I am there I was wondering the same thing while my oldest was here visiting he seemed to set it off
Yes ma'am my daughter is 38 years old now when she was that young I just brought her home from Hospital from seizures and I taken her back and they told me she was having tampered tampered;etc. The Dr told me to put her in a room on the floor and let her just cry it out I told him okay it taken over 3 hours and she stop I check on her to when she got done I ask her if she feels better
