Epilepsy And Intercourse?
This maybe a silly and inappropriate question to ask. But, does seizures affect sex? Probably not in most cases as I know epileptic people with children. However can it just affect sex in general?
An excoworker asked if my wife was worried about my having a seizure during sex.
I said "worried? Hell no, she's hoping for it!"
That's funny ceramicpro lol. I'm possibly having surgery in the near future and during my appointment with a neuropsychiatrist they said becoming "hypersexual" could be a side effect of the surgery. The neurologist that told me this has been in the field for over 40 years and knows what he's talking about. He said if it did happen it would probably be the most noticeable the first 6 months to a year after then slowly taper away. It's pretty rare..but possible.

Ah don't worry I won't share this. But thank you for answering! I'm glad things have come out positive for you :)
I'm trusting everybody to not share this on another thread - My libido was very low before my surgery, and when we did have sex and I got out of breath, it would sometimes trigger a seizure. It was a huge sore spot in our marriage for 22 years. After surgery, my hormones are completely different - in a very positive way.
Having Sex was the 1st trigger of my epilepsy and it has gotten worse since 1st being diagnosed, I cope but it is not fun.
