Medication

I have been taking lamictal since the beginning of August (took 3months to slowly change from topamax)
I have had absence seizures for as long as I can remember but I have not had a convulsive seizure since I was 6
Until now
I have had 2 in the last 4 months. There are no definite triggers or reasons behind them the just happen without warning.
Does anyone think it is the medication? If it is it's not only not helping my seizures but it is making them drastically worse. I am just not… read more

It's the medication you have to try other ones until one of them work most of the time none of them work but talk to your neurologist please

Latmictal it's not for everybody it wasn't for me I still had seizures I call my doctor and switch me to another one it took me years to find the right Doctor witch I had surgery I still take meds but seizure free

I was both of those medications as well.
I cancelled topomax because it was messin with me emotionally and wasn't helping. I would say it would be the medication

Probably the switch in meds. Sounds like lamictal is not for you. Good luck!

It may be the switch. We can have seizures from coming off of meds and or adjusting to new ones.
