Hi I'm taking keppra 250mg and also a vitamin b6. I was told that the vitamin b helps with certain brain functions. Also I was given b6 by a different doctor that prescribed me the keppra but my neurologist told me that most vitamins don't mess with prescribed drugs because they are vitamins and most have no side effects. I hope this helps.

Hi, I’m on Keppra 1500mg twice daily for a number of years - and numerous other meds - but have never been told to take a vitamin supplement with it! I also never experienced Keppra rage while on it. I’d ask your GP to refer you to a Neurologist before changing anything. I always go by the saying “Doctors differ - Patients die” and “Doctors can bury their mistakes!” and always get a second opinion, ALWAYS - after 40 years it’s second nature coz I go by 3 rules in business and when it comes to my health - and they are:
1. Trust No one!
2. Believe Nothing!
3. Check EVERYTHING!
- a doctor 👨‍⚕️ thought me those rules!

I was told the same thing by my neurologist, the meds block your B6/12 etc. I take vitamins with my meds without any issues. Good luck!

I am on Keppra and Trileptal, the neurologists have told me to take B12 and Iron.

I took the B12 shot on Keppra and no problems. Our meds deplete our vitamin B stores so we need to have extra supplements. I get a B12 shot every month...it increased my energy levels too.
